According to Turkey’s Anadolu Agency:
The SolarEX Istanbul 2025 international exhibition—one of the most significant specialized events in the solar energy sector—took place from April 10 to 12, 2025. This year, with the active participation of the Iran Trade Center in Turkey (TITMER), the event played a more prominent role in fostering trade and energy relations between Iran and Turkey.
Sadif Beikzadeh, CEO of the Iran International Exhibitions Company, spoke with an Anadolu reporter, highlighting Iran’s overarching policy of expanding trade ties with various nations—particularly neighboring countries. He emphasized that Turkey is a key trading partner for Iran, with the volume of bilateral trade reaching approximately $20 billion. He noted that international exhibitions serve as one of the most effective tools for expanding such cooperation.
SolarEX Istanbul: A Showcase for Iran’s Solar Energy Potential
Highlighting the importance of SolarEX Istanbul 2025, Beikzadeh described the event as a vital platform for showcasing Iran’s capabilities in the renewable energy sector. He added that Iran plans to generate approximately 30,000 megawatts of renewable energy, with 25,000 megawatts derived from solar power. Participation in SolarEX Istanbul offers a valuable opportunity to introduce these projects to international investors and companies.
He also announced a similar exhibition scheduled for Tehran from November 11 to 14, 2025. Organized in collaboration with the Iran Trade Center in Turkey, this event aims to attract foreign investment in the clean energy sector. According to Beikzadeh, sanctions do not hinder the participation of foreign companies in Iranian exhibitions; special arrangements—such as payment options in Iranian Rials or the currency of the company’s home country—have been made to facilitate their involvement.
TITMER; A Link Between Iranian and Turkish Business Communities
In this context, Seyed Mohammad Hosseini, Director of the Iran Trade Center in Turkey (TITMER)—highlighting the center’s role as the official agent of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran—stated that TITMER views participation in the 2025 Solarex Istanbul exhibition as a strategic opportunity to showcase investment prospects in Iran.
According to Hosseini, TITMER’s debut participation as an official agent at this exhibition could pave the way for new trade partnerships, attract foreign investment, and bolster Iran’s standing in the regional solar energy market. He added that international exhibitions, particularly in the renewable energy sector, play a pivotal role in fostering cross-border collaborative networks.
Solar Energy: A Bridge to a Green Future
On the sidelines of the event, Seyed Arman Hosseini, a board member of Mehrkam Energy, emphasized the importance of regional cooperation in clean energy. He noted that as the world shifts toward renewable energy, Iran and Turkey can leverage their solar energy potential to strengthen economic ties and advance toward a more sustainable future.
Solarex Istanbul—featuring over 200 international companies and 500 renowned global brands—serves not merely as a showcase for cutting-edge technologies but as a strategic platform for forging business connections, expanding markets, and establishing new partnerships within the solar energy industry. This year, Iran’s participation holds special significance thanks to the active role played by TITMER.
